Your Team
Tara Scrogin
Tara serves as Executive Director of Wild Roots People’s Clinic, where she oversees organizational operations and guides the advancement of the clinic’s mission and vision. She previously served as board president and has long been deeply connected to the organization’s growth.
An attorney by training, Tara brings experience in research, grant and contract funding, risk management, and privacy. She believes wellness is a whole-person journey and values a range of healing modalities, including herbalism, as essential to accessible, community-centered care.
Executive Director
Liliana Falcón
Liliana serves as our Programs Coordinator at Wild Roots People’s Clinic, where she supports the organization’s programming, grant writing, communications, outreach, and volunteer coordination. Her work centers on strengthening systems, building relationships, and helping ensure Wild Roots’ offerings remain accessible and responsive to community needs.
She brings a collaborative, care-centered approach to her role and is deeply committed to Wild Roots’ mission of community-rooted, holistic care.
Programs Coordinator
Kim Jones
Kim supports Wild Roots’ apprenticeship program, contributing to outreach, recruitment, and ongoing program development. She is a Registered 300-hour Yoga Teacher and a clinical herbalist in private practice, with roots in both Western and Ayurvedic herbal traditions.
She brings strengths in project management, planning, and volunteer coordination, and is deeply committed to supporting accessible, community-centered healing.
Apprenticeship Coordinator
Mindy Capello - RH, CHC
Mindy is a clinical registered herbalist (RH), certified health and life coach (CHC), and apprenticeship educator with a deep knowledge of herbs and their practical applications. She began her journey with Wild Roots as an intern herbalist and has since grown into a certified herbalist with her own private practice.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Mindy helped develop Wild Roots’ virtual clinic process. Today, she serves as an herbalist, herbal medicine maker, and community educator, supporting the organization’s commitment to accessible, community-rooted care.
Herbalist & Educator
Barbie Mully
Barbie is an educator and certified herbalist who supports the Wild Roots team with both creative and administrative care. She generously contributes her skills in areas such as budgeting, taxes, and organizational support, helping strengthen the clinic’s sustainability.
She is also a plant grower and maker of recycled art, bringing creativity and resourcefulness to her work. Above all, Barbie’s greatest priority is being a devoted parent to her three boys.
Herbalist & Educator
Dandi Davenport
Dandi has been a dedicated volunteer with Wild Roots since May 2022 and serves as our Apothecary Manager. She trains volunteers in apothecary practices, supports inventory and ordering, and is our primary herbal compounder, helping ensure the quality and care of every formula we prepare.
She brings deep care, consistency, and attention to detail to this work, and we are deeply grateful for the role she plays in sustaining the heart of our clinic.

Nejo Gentry
Herbalist
Nejo is a recent graduate of the Wild Roots apprenticeship program and a certified herbalist who began her journey with the clinic as a volunteer in the apothecary. Through dedication and care, she has grown into a valued member of the apothecary team.
She is also a Registered Nurse with over 20 years of experience and brings a strong commitment to holistic health and wellness. Nejo blends clinical knowledge with the art of herbal formulation to support thoughtful, community-centered care.
Ramona Tortorilla
Ramona is a co-founder of Wild Roots People’s Clinic and brings 17 years of experience as an herbalist. Her belief that everyone deserves access to affordable, community-based herbal care is the heart and foundation of the organization’s mission.
You can find Mo at monthly clinics seeing clients and mentoring the next generation of herbalists. She is now an active board member who continues to thoughtfully guide and advance the work of Wild Roots through leadership, care, and deep commitment to community healing.

Diane Ratigan-Schmidt
Diane is the President of the Wild Roots People’s Clinic Board and brings experience as a program leader and organizational transformation consultant. She supports strategic planning, organizational development, and systems that strengthen the clinic’s sustainability and growth.
She is deeply committed to Wild Roots’ mission and believes in expanding access to healing within underserved communities. Diane uses her professional skills to actively support and advance the organization in meaningful ways.

Melissa Nelson
Melissa is a certified herbalist and technology consultant who previously served as Executive Director of Wild Roots People’s Clinic. She played a key role in growing the organization, from building foundational systems such as Salesforce integration and the website to helping hire the clinic’s first employee and guiding Wild Roots through pivotal periods of development.
She is currently studying to become a naturopathic doctor in Seattle and remains an active board member, continuing to support Wild Roots’ mission of expanding access to holistic, community-centered care.

Eathan Fernandez
Eathan brings over 12 years of experience in the lending industry and a strong commitment to community-centered service. As a loan officer, he has dedicated his career to supporting families and small businesses in navigating financial systems with clarity, care, and integrity. His work is grounded in building meaningful, long-term relationships and meeting people where they are.
Rooted in strong family values, Eathan believes in the importance of trust, transparency, and accessible guidance. These values align closely with the mission of Wild Roots People’s Clinic, and he is honored to support the organization’s work of expanding equitable, community-based care.
