Fire Cider Making Activity

Join us for a hands-on Fire Cider making activity led by herbalist Barbie Mully!

Fire Cider is a traditional herbal remedy made with apple cider vinegar, roots, herbs, and spices commonly used to support immune health and overall vitality. It is often used in herbalism as a daily tonic during cold and flu season to help warm the body, support digestion, and bolster the immune system.

During this drop-in activity, participants will learn which herbs and spices are commonly used in Fire Cider and how to prepare this remedy at home. All materials to create the base of the Fire Cider will be provided, and participants will leave with their own jar to take home. The mixture will macerate for about 4–6 weeks before being strained, and honey can be added afterward to taste if desired (some folks enjoy it just as is!).

This is a community-centered activity offered alongside our donation-based herbal clinic on February 14 from 11–3. The activity will be available during the clinic and will wrap up once supplies run out.
